2010 Sheltowee Spring Fling Redneck Games Weekend
Deep in the cornfields of Camp Michaels, Kentucky, where a trailer is considered a mansion, a tractor is basic transportation, and anything you find dead on the road is called supper, a gathering of "overall wearing" arrowmen are assembling for a knee slapping, yee-hawing, banjo picking get-together.
Hello fellow Ku-Ni-Eh Lodge members! This is Ryan (A.K.A. Dinner) reminding you of the upcoming Sheltowee Spring Fling of 2010, on March 12th -14th at Camp Michaels. If you haven't already guessed it, this year's theme is Redneck Games. This Spring Fling will be the best yet with great cooking, karaoke, Sheltowee's legendary Ale-8 chugging contest, and of course games that will not disappoint, including: Best Redneck Costume, Best "You Might Be a Redneck If" joke, Road Kill Cook-off, Hang Your Balls, Mud Wrastling, and much more.
You will also dine on the finest road kill cuisine, including possum stew, raccoon fritters, and something we can't identify because it got flattened by a truck, prepared by Chef Clyde Howell and his Black Apron Crew. This weekend will also be a time for the Ceremony Team to shine with the first Brotherhood Ceremony of the 2010 season. To be eligible for Brotherhood you must be an Ordeal member for 10 months, so if you attended your Ordeal before June 2009, you're eligible.
The cost for this great hoedown is $15. This feeds you for the weekend and also gets you a" one of a kind" Sheltowee Spring Fling 2010 t-shirt.
To register and pre-order a t-shirt Click HERE. You do not have to pay until you arrive at the Fling!
So come on down to Camp Michaels for a weekend of fun, service, and fellowship. Don't forget to bring your best pair of overalls, straw hat, and banjo. Hope to see "all ya'll" there.
Sincerely,
The Sheltowee Spring Fling Committee: Ryan M., Will M., & Josh H.
