Camporee registration policy for Trailblazer District Camporees, Please these are important if you have any questions please contact the camporee committee at Trailblazer-district@fuse.net

We have listen to your complains and you wanting to simplify the way to register for camporees. With the help of our District Executives we have reworked the system. 

The most important thing to know is that the camporee committee needs to be able to buy supplies and set up for the number of people who will be attending. So we need the troops give us a accurate forecast of amount of people attending by the registration cut off date.  If you register by the cut off date you can save your troop money by paying a reduced fee.  Registrations received after the cut off date will be the normal camporee fee.
WHAT YOU PAY WILL BE BASED ON THE DATE AND TIME THE COMPUTER PUTS ON YOUR REGISTRATION FORM YOU FILL OUT FOR THE "CAMPOREE STAFF", not the date and time of when you pay a deposit to council. (These are different forms going to two different groups) (Except the 2013 Spring camporee will be using doubleknot's date due to having limited seating on train and training and FULL fees have to be paid in advance of camporee)

One thing to remember if your numbers change
DO NOT GO BACK TO DOUBLE KNOT AND PAY ANOTHER DEPOSIT.  Once you pay the deposit with them you are done with council's DoubleKnot system. But you have to come back to this website and update your registration with the camporee staff. You must keep the camporee staff updated because we order supplies with this information.  There is no money required just GOOD numbers, it only take 1 minute to fill out form.

  • Instead of having to list all the names of youth and adults on the DoubleKnot form you will only need to list your anticipated number of youth and adults you think will attend. 

  • Instead of paying for people who do not show up and not receiving a refund (due to council refund policy), you will be required to pay only a single deposit for the whole unit.  The rest of the fee will be collected at the camporee. This will help all the units since you can pre-register in a timely fashion without having to lose money.  *Please help us by registering as soon as you know you are coming at the camporee website……….. only takes 1 minute.

  • Please bring a check for your final payment, made out to Dan Beard Council.  Cash can be collected but we would really like it to be a check if possible.  A Field Receipts will be issued for cash received, but not for checks.  You cancelled check is your receipt.

  • Each unit needs to provide a roster of scouts and scouters who attend the camporee.  You can print a copy of your charter and circle the names or have a pre made list of your unit and circle the names any way you want just so we get an accurate copy of who is there and their address.  Make this part of your camporee pre-check list and save your Scoutmaster time at check-in. This is requested by and turned into council so they can check national registration.  We take BSA registration forms also with separate check for each registration. There is a form on the camporee website that you can type in the names and addresses..  When you sent the form you will receive a copy in a e-mail you can keep this copy.

  • You will still need register with the Trailblazer District Staff as you would normally do.  If you find your numbers changed please update the District Camporee Registration Form it only takes 1 minute.  If you have never used the District Camporee Website form click on it and look at it, it is a very simple form. When you click to send you get an e-mail back saying thanks that way you know we have received it.

  • The Camporee Staff  and Dan Beard Council Staff wants to help out the units and feels this will help if everyone will work together and register in advance as requested.

  • The deposit amount outlined in this policy may be adjusted per camporee due to costs.  Something like the Civil War Reenactment camporee and Speedway camporee require a major amount of capital expenditure and may require the deposit for a special events to be adjusted accordingly.
